I don't really do "resolutions", but I do like to think about what has worked well in the past year and what parts of my life might merit tweaking.
I've been thinking a lot about all the "stuff" I have just sitting in the cupboard, waiting to be worked on. Yards and yards of beautiful fabrics, with no real projects assigned to them, waiting to be made into something beautiful.
Without making a resolution, I am hoping to change that stash of mine into something more productive. I love, love, love fabric and could find something new and fabulous to add to my collection just about every week. Instead of allowing my fabric obsession to overwhelm and get the better of me, I'm going to try to commit to using what I have, rather than adding things I don't need (yet!). I will allow myself to buy fabric if it will allow me to finish a project I've already started. There are some things I have planned that just need another 1/2 yard for a border, or whatever, and I will definitely let myself purchase more fabric for those purposes.
I have lots of other projects that I want to complete that aren't sewing related as well. My hope is that I'll be able to finish one project a week and start working through my sewing and craft supplies. We'll see how my energy holds up!
I do have one project in the works and nearly completed that hopefully I'll be able to post on here very soon.
This year is off to a lovely start!
